Runtime 70 Error What’s Wrong?

Ten years ago, the runtime 70 error was rare.  Since so many computers are operating on networks and the multiplicity of permissions across the network is on the rise so the runtime 70 error occurrence rises.  If you have the runtime 70 error, here are some things that may be causing it:

  • Your user permissions doesn’t permit you to do what you are attempting to do when the error message flashes up
  • You are attempting to open an application that is already open
  • You have to shut down (or open!) the program in order to do some action you are attempting
  • You’ve got a registry issue like a orphaned file, a file not registered, or a corrupt pathway

What can you do to fix those runtime 70 errors?

The runtime 70 error is “permission denied.”  And you may simply have to have your access setting corrected (either on a specific PC or across the entire network, depending) so that you have the access you need.  The system admin may be able to get you access in this case.  If you have basic user access, your power to complete certain projects may be limited by your setting.

When you receive the runtime 70 error as attempt to initiate an application, you could be 70’ed because the application is already cranked up on your PC or network.  Many of programs are set to boot by default, and you might not realize that program is already on.  First close your runtime 70 error message.  Try to start the program again after you use F12.  If the program opens without a runtime 70 error, it was likely on the first time you tried it.

If runtime 70 error pops up after you’ve asked an application to do a specific task and you have adequate user setting, perhaps the program can’t do the task you’ve asked for while it is running.  Perhaps the application shouldn’t be running when you do the task you are attempting.  Now attempt to move make the database copy (the most common job that triggers runtime 70) while the program isn’t running.

Networks usually have more than one persons tweaking settings, handling installs, tracking updates, and orchestrating uninstalls.  Replacing the a data value in the Windows registry doesn’t erase the original.  Orphaned command files, cleared registry keys, old user settings and other trash can gum up the Windows registry.  A overly full or corrupted registry will generate runtime errors due to a general inefficiency in its instructional pathways.  To handle this problem, include the best registry repair software to your PC maintenance routine.

The best registry repair software is easy to find.  Highly rated and very safe, the ultimate registry cleaner is RegCure Does it work? It does work and it has earned the Microsoft Certified Partner label, so you can be sure Microsoft believes that, too.  RegCure is the registry cleaner with the rep, the secure download, and the power to fix your registry.
